OSCE-Ready before you even walk in.

Finally, something to help me practice that has mark schemes that I can actually tick off.

I initially started using OSCE Toolbox and was scoring low 20-40% which would not score a Pass in the real exam. However as I practiced more scenarios, and revising Info Capsules, this helped me to understand what areas I needed to improve and acknowledge what makes a consultation effective! After using OSCE Toolbox after a few weeks, my scores were reaching 50-60% and eventually I was scoring 70%+ which was so helpful for my exams!

There's not some secret answer and they're not (always) trying to catch you out. Practice with OSCE Toolbox helped me spot the patterns and always get at least a few guaranteed marks.

I kept missing simple things such as lifestyle advice or safety netting but by doing different scenarios on OSCE Toolbox, I was able to practice my consultation skills and implement these aspects in as I did more scenarios. I believe it's greatly enhanced my performance and I'd have struggled without it.

I actually never made use of my subscription until April the month before the exams, in the formative I was definitely a mess, struggling to understand all the overwhelm of info, failing all three stations. Then after a solid month of clinical revision alongside OSCE Toolbox, practicing nearly every scenario, in the real thing I passed 10/12 (pass mark is 9).

The question a day was the best feature. It was exactly like one of the final exams I had in final year. I would answer the question everyday and take a photo of it. At the end of each month I would go through all the questions I had collected and redid them, any that I got wrong I read the reasoning for the correct answer and highlighted that topic as an area for me to focus revision on.

The most useful features are the checklist on the mark scheme with the red flag sections in particular. The checklist ensures I cover all key points, while the red flag explanations help me understand why it's so necessary to mention these to the patient.
